Scholarships for Success
Becker Professional Education has created the Scholarships for Success program for deserving students in need of financial assistance in preparing for the CPA Exam. We are asking professors across the U.S. to help us identify these deserving students. Becker awards 50 CPA Exam Review scholarships annually. The Becker Scholarship Selection Committee will select the winners based on career goals, financial need, personal circumstances, and GPA.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR MAY GRADUATES: Wednesday, February 17, 2010Criteria for Eligible Recipients
- Seniors in final year or graduate students who have met (or will meet at time of graduation) exam requirements and are interested in sitting for the CPA Exam.
- Enrollment deadline is 12 months from date of issue (May 1, 2011 will be this year’s expiration).
- One nomination per professor.
- Scholarship application must be sponsored by an Accounting Professor.
- As this is a needs based scholarship, it is not valid for students who have accepted a position at firms that have a relationship with Becker Professional Education and reimburse for the CPA Exam Review course.
- The scholarship can be applied toward a complete four-part Live, Online or Self-study course.
- Valid only in the United States and non-transferable.
Instructions
to Professor
The nominating
professor will contact the student, explain the scholarship opportunity, and
receive a written personal statement from the student explaining the financial
need and how this scholarship would make a difference in achieving his/her
professional goals. Please have this statement available prior to completing
the nomination form. Once the submit button is clicked, the nomination is
closed and sent.
