Self-Study Requirements 

The best part of the Self-study program is that anyone can use it - computer skills are not necessary. Listed below are the hardware and software requirements and recommendations.

Minimum System Requirements (Windows)

For the Self-Study CD course option, you will need a PC that meets the following minimum specifications to use the Becker applications:

• Windows XP/Vista/7*
• Pentium III 600 MHz processor or faster
• 256 MB RAM or greater (512 MB highly recommended)
• Hard drive with 300 MB or more free space (to copy optional PassMaster files you will need an additional 250 MB of space)
• Video card capable of 1024 x 768 resolution and 16-bit color or more
• A sound card and speakers
• DVD drive
• To print the Performance Summary Report, a Windows compatible printer is required
• Administrative Level access is required to activate and properly install your program
• You must have access to the Internet at some point (not necessarily on the computer with the software) to activate the software

Note: these applications have been designed for the Microsoft^® Windows operating system.  Running the application under any other operating system is NOT supported

* Support for Windows 98SE, Windows Millennium Edition (ME), and Windows 2000
Although Windows 98SE/ME operating systems are no longer supported by Microsoft, the Becker applications normally run successfully under these operating systems.  However, we will not be able to provide support for running the software under Windows 98, Windows ME or Windows 2000.

Minimum System Requirements (Mac)

You will need a Mac that meets the following minimum specifications to use the Becker applications:

• Mac OS-X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or 10.7 (Lion)
• Intel x86 based processor*
• 512 MB RAM or greater (1GB highly recommended)
• Hard drive with 300 MB or more free space (to copy optional PassMaster files you willneed an additional 500 MB of free space)
• Video card capable of 1024 x 768 resolution and 32-bit color or more
• Sound card and speakers
• DVD drive
• To print the Performance Summary Report, a Mac compatible printer is requiredAdministrative-level access is required to activate and operate the software
• You must have access to the internet at some point (not necessarily from this computer)to activate the software

*Support for PowerPC based Macs:
All Becker native Mac applications have been designed to run on Intel x86 based Macintoshcomputers. The Becker native Mac applications will not run on any PowerPC based Macintoshcomputer. We will not be able to provide support for running the software on any PowerPC basedMacintosh computer.
