Straight-Line Depreciation Method

 

  1. A depreciation method that spreads the cost or other basis of an asset evenly over its useful life. Straight-line depreciation is a method of depreciation in which depreciation is recognized evenly over the life of the asset. Salvage value is included in the calculation.
