CPA Exam Review course scholarships

The CPA journey isn’t an easy one. It requires countless study hours, MCQs and a complicated application process. On top of these challenges, the CPA Exam is costly. Depending on your state of residence, you may pay nearly $1,000 for exam application and registration fees. There are additional CPA Exam fees to consider, including the cost of a high-quality review course, an ethics exam to fulfill some states’ requirements, licensing fees and continuing professional education credits to maintain licensure.

The cost of a CPA Exam review course shouldn’t be an obstacle as you work to earn those coveted three letters. We’re happy to help by offering scholarships for CPA candidates in need. Each year, Becker gives CPA review course scholarships**, so you can focus on learning the exam content, not the cost of a review course. This CPA Exam scholarship is intended to support those who are deserving, based on need and active community service.

Newt D. Becker Scholarship program

Newton D. Becker was the founder and president of Becker Accounting. He exemplified the importance of leadership and community by helping more than one million accountants prepare to become Certified Public Accountants. We established the Newton D. Becker Scholarship Program in his honor, offering a CPA review course scholarship to help put future CPAs one step closer to earning licensure. Since 2012, Becker has provided $2.3 million in scholarships for CPA candidates.

Collin Kuntz, a 2018 CPA Exam scholarship recipient shared, “The Newt Becker Scholarship meant that I could focus on studying and reaching my goal of attaining my CPA license, instead of worrying about how I was going to afford the program. Receiving the award allowed me to allot all of my time to studying instead of having to work throughout my summer of studying.”

Quite simply, we believe students who demonstrate consistently high moral character, strong leadership qualities and a commitment to community service, the principles that were valued by Newt, deserve an advantage. So, it’s only fitting that we give away CPA review scholarships to the individuals who work, lead and serve without expecting anything in return.

This year, the Newt Becker scholarship program is back and we are awarding 110 CPA review course scholarships!
