Chapter 13 Adjustment of Debts of Individuals with Regular Income

A type of bankruptcy case in which the debtor repays all or a portion of his or her debts over a three- to five-year period. Although there is not a liquidation, a trustee oversees the case, and at the conclusion of the case the remaining debts of the debtor are discharged.
