Contributions With Donor Restrictions

A contribution may be restricted by the donor. Donor-imposed restrictions limit the use of contributed assets. They are recognized as revenues, gains, and other support in the period received and as assets, decreases of liabilities, or expenses depending on the form of the benefits received. May also be referred to as donor?restricted support. See also contributions without donor restrictions.
