Incremental Costs

Incremental costs are the difference in costs between two alternatives. In other words, they are also the additional costs incurred to produce an additional unit of product in excess of the current output. Incremental costs are also called differential costs. The words differential and incremental can also be used for revenues. See also differential costs.
