Integrated Framework

The COSO publication Internal Control�Integrated Framework (the Framework) describes internal control as a process that is designed to provide reasonable assurance in regard to the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, financial reporting, and compliance. The framework identifies five major components, including control environment, risk assessment, control activities, information and communication, and monitoring.
