Intraperiod Tax Allocation

Intraperiod tax allocation involves apportioning the total income tax provision for financial accounting purposes in a period between the income or loss from continuing operations, discontinued operations, the cumulative effect of accounting changes (recorded on the statement of retained earnings), and comprehensive income. All of these amounts are reported net of tax.
