Leasehold Improvement
A leasehold improvement is an improvement that is permanently affixed to leased property and reverts to the lessor at the termination of the lease. In general, if the property is not moveable from the premises by the tenant, the improvement is a leasehold improvement. Leasehold improvements are amortized over the lesser of the term of the lease or the useful life of the asset.
