Line of Credit

 

  1. A line of credit is an informal agreement between a borrower and a bank indicating the maximum credit the bank will extend to the borrower. A revolving credit agreement is a formal line of credit. An agreement usually by a bank to make loans, not to exceed a specified total amount, when needed by a customer.
