Noncumulative Preferred Stock

 

  1. With noncumulative preferred stock, dividends that are not paid in any year do not accumulate. The preferred shareholders lose the right to receive dividends that are not declared. See also preferred stock and cumulative preferred stock. Preferred stock whose holders do not receive dividends in arrears.
