Percentage of Accounts Receivable at Year-End Method

The percentage of accounts receivable at year-end method is a method of calculating bad debt expense as a percentage of accounts receivable at year-end (possibly by an aging of the accounts receivable). The amount is the ending balance in accounts receivable and the bad debt expense is plugged (possibly by using an account analysis format). See also allowance method.
