Presentation Layer (Layer 6)

The layer that encrypts and transforms data received from the Application layer into a format that other devices using the OSI model can interpret (e.g., standard formats for videos, images, and web pages). Common formats used are American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII), Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG), and Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG).
