Overview of Illinois State Taxes
Learning objectives
After completing this course, the learner should be able to:
- Identify taxation requirements for corporations and pass-through entities in Illinois
- Identify taxation requirements for individuals in Illinois
- Recognize when a tax liability is created through inheritance or gifts in Illinois
- Recognize the conditions where excise taxes, property taxes, or sales and use taxes are imposed by Illinois
- Identify tax and related liabilities that a company in Illinois incurs when it has employees
