Articles of Organization

The articles of organization are the documents that must be filed with the state to form a limited liability company (LLC). The articles must include: a statement that the entity is an LLC; the name of the LLC, which must include an indication that it is an LLC; the street address of the LLC's registered office and name of its registered agent; and, if the company is to be run by managers rather than by all members, the names of the managers.
