Control Risk

 

  1. The risk that a material misstatement that could occur in an assertion will not be prevented or detected on a timely basis by the entity's system of internal control. A measure of the auditor's assessment of the likelihood that misstatements exceeding a tolerable level will not be prevented or detected by the client's internal control system.
