Factoring of Accounts Receivable

Factoring of accounts receivable is the process by which accounts receivable are converted into cash by assigning/selling them to a factor either with or without recourse. If accounts receivable are assigned without recourse, the assignment is normally at a considerable discount. See also pledging of accounts receivable.
