  1. A measure of a debt payment coverage, represented by cash flow from operations, fixed financial charges, and taxes divided by the fixed charges. A leverage ratio represented as earnings before fixed charges and taxes divided by fixed charges. Fixed charges include interest, required principal repayments, and leases.
