1.0 Credits

This course builds the essential vocabulary and judgment accountants need to understand today's AI landscape and use AI responsibly in accounting work, including how to identify appropriate AI tasks and apply responsible-use and data-governance practices.

Learning objectives: Build a practical understanding of foundational AI concepts, levels of autonomy, and how AI applies across accounting, tax, and audit work. Working Effectively with AI Assistants

1.5 Credits

You’ll move from AI awareness to practical use, teaching you how to construct effective prompts, refine AI output, verify results for errors and hallucinations, and draft professional accounting communications with AI.

AI in Excel: Built-In Intelligence

This course shows you how to use AI-enabled Excel features, including Flash Fill, Analyze Data, and Power Query, to prepare data, explore results, and validate insights without leaving the spreadsheet.

Learning objectives: Learn how to use Excel’s built-in AI features to clean accounting data, uncover insights, validate results, and understand when Copilot may be a better fit. You’ll also practice applying forecasting insights and using Power Query to create clean, repeatable, auditable datasets AI tools can reliably analyze.

Accelerating Accounting Work with Copilot and Agents

1.0 Credits

The final course introduces Microsoft Copilot and emerging agentic capabilities through accounting workflows, with a focus on accelerating work while keeping review and control in your hands.

Learning objectives: Learn how to use Copilot in Excel to turn plain-English requests into accounting analysis, explain formulas, and support more advanced workflows. You’ll also practice using Copilot’s chat, edit, and agentic capabilities while validating results and confirming outputs are auditable before relying on them.
