Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)

A cloud computing model where the cloud service provider (CSP) provides proprietary tools or solutions remotely to fulfill a specific business purpose. The tools facilitate the creation of programs and services running on the CSP's hosted infrastructure, with the CSP responsible for maintaining the back-end infrastructure.
