Standard Error of the Estimate

In regression analysis, the standard error of the estimate is a measure of how good the estimate is. The standard error indicates the closeness of the estimate to the actual results (i.e., how perfect the regression line is in predicting the dependent variable). See also regression analysis and coefficient of correlation and coefficient of determination.
