CPA Exam Review Intensive Course

If you’re willing and able to devote five weeks to a course of study that normally takes six months, the Atlanta Intensive course may be for you. It's held in the summer in Atlanta, Georgia. During this 5-week course, students prepare for all four-parts of the exam, staying onsite for the most focused learning time. A typical day includes 100% live lectures, led by highly rated and experienced CPA instructors. Students also take part in class exercises and supervised study periods, where they can receive guidance from instructors.

Do I need to prepare for the course? Are there special requirements?

You do not need to prepare specifically for the Intensive course; simply come ready to study hard. There are no special requirements for the Intensive course; students must ensure they are eligible to sit for the CPA Exam.

What is covered in the course fees?

The Intensive course price includes all your materials, including your books and the course software, the registration fee, and the supervised study halls. The flashcards can be ordered separately before or after you arrive.

What should I bring with me?

A red pen or pencil and a highlighter and a laptop computer for all homework assignments.

Is the hotel included in the course costs?

The hotel is not included in the cost of the course. For pricing information and specific room rates, please call the host hotel directly.

What do the hotel rates cover?

The hotel provides a complimentary full hot breakfast buffet seven mornings a week, a microwave and small refrigerator in each room, daily housekeeping, on-site laundry facilities, convenient access to MARTA (local transit system), complimentary grocery shopping service, workout facilities, an indoor and outdoor pool, a large outdoor area with gardens for you to sit and relax, complimentary state of the art high-speed internet access in every room, complimentary shuttle within a five-mile radius to restaurants, stores, attractions, the Galleria mall, and complimentary transportation to the closest Prometrics testing site.

Is there transportation to the classes?

All classes are held on the hotel property. If you do not stay at the Becker Intensive hosted hotel, you will have to provide your own transportation to and from the classroom, as well as to and from the hotel for study halls.

What happens if I must cancel?

For Atlanta Intensive students, a full tuition refund (minus all applicable savings) will be issued to students who withdraw on or before the 2nd class of the first scheduled part. Thereafter, no refund will be issued.

**Please note that two class sessions are held per day during the Intensive Course. You have until 6:00 p.m. on your arrival date to cancel your hotel room reservation without incurring any charges.

Are there special deals for my organization?

Many government agencies and CPA firms reimburse their employees for the cost of the Intensive course. Check with your Human Resource department.

Are special savings available on course fees?

Current students who register for all four-parts at one time will receive the preferred pricing. Former Becker students can retake a section(s) for 50% savings tuition if they failed to pass that section of the CPA exam. Please call Customer Service at 1-800-868-3900 to confirm you are eligible for the savings.

Do I save money by taking all four-parts at the same time?

The price for taking all four-parts at the same time is less than if you took the parts separately. You must register for all four-parts at one time to receive the preferred pricing.
 

Atlanta Intensive a Typical Day

For the Intensive course, students take all four-parts of the review, and then sit for all four-parts of the CPA Exam within two weeks to a month after the course ends.

Educational experts from the various state CPA societies recommend a self-study program involving 450-550 hours. The Becker CPA Review Intensive Course is 104 class hours and involves an additional 90-175 hours of assigned homework. We consider this the minimum number of hours to give our students "in class" reinforcement to assure adequate examination coverage. This chart shows the breakdown:

The Intensive course day is planned so that students can devote all of their attention to learning with no normal everyday distractions.

The schedule below represents a typical day in the Financial Accounting and Reporting course. Each daily class is four hours in length, usually split into morning and afternoon sessions. In the evening, students participate in instructor-supervised study periods for assistance with homework assignments, designed to help retain content more readily.

Intensive Course Materials

For your convenience, all course books will be distributed at the Intensive Welcome Reception or at the first class. They will not be shipped prior to the start of the course. Flashcards and Final Review materials will be shipped to your shipping address prior to the start of the class.

Intensive Course Payment Procedures

Payment is due in full at the time of registration. Credit card payments will be processed at the time of registration. If you are from outside the United States, please clear any security or credit limit issues with your credit card company prior to registration. Please note that sales tax will be charged for Final Review and Flashcard purchases and is not included in the price.

Visa Requirements

A student visa is not needed to take Becker’s Intensive Review Course. University credit is not awarded for the course. A tourist visa may be required. Please check this website to see if a visa is required:
